My favorite thing to do is travel. I try to go backpacking every other year. Mainly have been around europe but after this summer i will have to move on to asian countries and retire europe for awhile. I figure i have to hit the less safe countries before i am old. My favorite place is either belgium, holland or bosnia.

I love listening to music. Some of the bands I like are; Of montreal, nuetral milk hotel, MGMT, coheed and cambria, neil young, pink floyd, and the fleet foxes. I like about anything except rap, and country. But older rap is okay back when it had a message.

In my free time I like to workout (I ran my first 10k in October), read, try new things, play/watch sports (Twins, Vikings, and Wild), snowboard, plan and make trips. I absolutely love travelling! I lived in Australia twice during college...once for a semester and once for student teaching. This past year I made trips to Vegas, Washington DC, Boston, Michigan, and Chicago. My name is Steve. When life throws me a curveball, I try to make the best of it and see the positive side of the situation. I have a very laid back kind of attitude, it takes a lot to get me angry...except when I'm at work or driving. Then I seem to have a short temper =/ There's so many things I like to do for fun it's almost annoying. Music is the biggest thing for me. I've been playing guitar for seven years and I can play bass guitar and drums too. I play in a band with some friends from high school and it's a ton of fun. Winter is when I get my nerd on. I play a lot of World of Warcraft in the winter since I don't really have anything to do outside. And when I get together with friends we usually play Wii or Xbox or even board games. Winter is also the time of year I spend a lot of time watching the science channel and the discovery channel watching shows about space, geology, biology and whatnot. But, once summer rolls around I'm almost a different person. You won't find me inside too much during the warm seasons. I do a ton of mountain biking, I try to get in a few miles a day at the least. Me and my friends are always playing tennis or football. And when the sun sets it's just a whole new ball game. Usually you'll find us chilling in some lawn chairs in the garage having some beers or out back having a bon fire. And whenever we can we try to make it out to Wisconsin to my buddy's cabin and do some fishing, swimming and occasionally I'll even try water skiing but I fail every time. And if you haven't gathered this by now...I'm very close to my friends. I have two very close friends that are like brothers to me. I may not have a lot but I have a very strong bond with the friends that I do have.
